Over the past couple of years have you been extremely tired and can barely muster enough energy to get through the day? Are you gaining weight at an alarming speed? Has your mother had a thyroid problem or your sister been diagnosed with hypothyroidism and feels more energy now that she is taking thyroid medication? Maybe you have gone to your doctor for tests but they come back normal for thyroid. There are many causes for weight gain so maybe it isn’t your thyroid gland, but then again maybe it is. The reason it may still be your thyroid gland that is making you overweight is because even though the standard THS tests may show you are in a normal range, you need further testing.

Any time there is a decrease in thyroid function there will be a corresponding decrease in the consumption of energy. Weight gain can be the result of an under-active thyroid. Many women are overweight because of this under-active condition and do not even know that the reason for their weight gain is their THS imbalance. You can be eating significantly less than those who are lean and yet still gain weight because your thyroid imbalance is not allowing you to use energy, instead it is storing it in the form of fat.

If your TSH test results have come back in the normal range, ask your doctor to check your T4 and free T3 levels. Seeing an endocrinologist may be better person to go to for testing your thyroid gland problem than a regular MD.

However, once you have been diagnosed as having this and have been prescribed the proper medication for your condition, you may still gain weight. The problem may be because after having gone for years with an under-active thyroid, your metabolism set point has lowered. A lower metabolism set point means it will be hard to lose weight. It is a good idea to have your blood sugar levels tested to see if you are insulin resistant now which may be the cause of your weight gain also.

The good news is that there are natural cures for hypothyroidism that you can learn about. These cures make use of natural herbs and foods that feed the thyroid gland and can nourish your body back to good health.

If you have hypothyroidism and have been trying to lose weight, you know just how difficult it is. It is hard to stay on a diet and hard to exercise because you are so tired all of the time. It seems like individuals that suffer from hyperthyroidism are in a catch 22. A vicious circle so to speak. They know they must exercise daily but they can hardly find the energy to accomplish this task every week, let alone every day. Then the less they exercise the less energy stores they produce. See, if you have and poorly functioning thyroid gland, you have no energy and you can not drum it up to exercise because it is practically out of your control.

The good news is that there is one exercise that you can try that is not only fun to do so that you want to try it again the next day, but it is also known to stimulate the thyroid gland to release more thyroid hormones. This in turn gives you more energy and the desire and drive to exercise more. This is a good catch 22 to be in. Not only is the circle continuing to give positive energy to your tired cells, but it promotes weight loss too.

The exercise I’m talking to you about is rebounding. A rebounder is also called a mini trampoline.

How Rebounding Tones your Thyroid Gland so you can Lose Weight

* It stimulates and increases your metabolism.

* It promotes your body growth and repair.

* It tones up your glandular system, especially the thyroid to

increase its output of thyroid hormones

* It expands your body’s capacity for fuel storage and endurance

* It enhances your digestion and elimination process

* It strengthens leg and thigh muscles (more muscle more weight loss)

* It rejuvenates your body when its tired

Why this exercise Tone Up your Thyroid Glad so you can Lose weight

* It relieves the gravitational pull on the thyroid gland for a few seconds at a time

* Reliving the gravitational pull on the thyroid gland helps it to tone up

* It speeds up your metabolic system

* Toning up the glandular system to balance output of thyroid, pituitary and adrenal glands give you energy and the ability to lose weight

* The Proper function of metabolic, lymphatic and digestive systems is stimulated and is essential for weight control

* It reduces likelihood of cellulite and obesity.

Having no energy and being too tired and unexplained weight gain are common symptoms of hypothyroidism. If you are experiencing these symptoms, be sure to go to your doctor for a medical exam. Proper daily exercise will help tone up your thyroid for better overall health and wellness.
